Quick Start FilmoraPro
filmora basic edit in FilmoraPro We'll create a new project,
import media, do a basic edit, and export this project. The first thing we can
see when opening FilmoraPro is the home screen.
In the upper-left side, we can switch between the home screen
and the tutorials screen where we can access several series of video tutorialsfor FilmoraPro.
Back on the home screen, we can click here to open a project
that we've been working on before, but in this case, we'll click on this other
icon to create a new project.
FilmoraPro Quick Start: Video Watch Now
We'll be directed to the Edit screen. This screen has
various panels that we'll use for our editing process, but for today we'll just
be looking at a few of them. First, we'll choose which files we're going to use
for the edit.
These files can be audio files, like voiceover, sound
effects, and music, image files like photos and graphics, and of course video
files. Then we'll link these files to our edit by importing them into the
project.
We'll click on the "import" button on the media
panel and select all the files we might use. In this case, I'll choose these videos
and this song for the background. All the files we've imported will be visible
in the media panel.
By default, you can find it on the lower-left corner of the
screen. We can click on any of these files to see a preview of it in the
Trimmer panel which we can find by default in the upper half of the screen, right
in the middle.
By clicking on the play button we can preview the media file
and we'll have a small played for the trimmer at the bottom of the panel. We
can click and drag clips from the media panel to the right, and drop them into
the editor panel.
The first time we do this, a window might pop up and suggest
to automatically match the sequence with the project settings. In this case, we'll click on "yes". In the editor panel, we'll see this video clip represented
by this blue rectangle on the upper side, and a video with audio will be two
rectangles linked to each other. This panel is the Timeline.
The white line is the project's play head and we'll see a
preview of this timeline in the viewer panel on the top right showing the project at the frame location of the play head. We can trim the clip by
clicking and dragging from its sides to choose where we want it to start and
where to finish.
Once we've done this with our first clip, we can add other
clips, background music, sound effects, and arrange and trim the clips the way
we want. When we are happy enough with our edit we can export our project to
turn it into a video file to be easily played or uploaded. To do this we'll
click on the arrow next to the export icon in the Editor panel and then we'll
go to "add to queue" > "contents" This will open the
export panel. Here in the queue, we'll see our project name.
In the present column, we'll choose the preset that suits our
needs best. In my case, I want to upload it to Vimeo so I'll choose this preset.
On the output column, we'll click to choose the name of our video, and where to
save it. To finish, we'll click on the "start exporting" button.
After some processing, we'll have our final video ready to
use. So that was a quick look at using FilmoraPro. To get a more in-depth look at
every step we took here today, make sure to check out our next videos in the series,
and remember, there is no limit to what you can make.
